Today, thanks to the undertakings of an organization now knowns as The Downtown Brentwood Coalition, founders Becky Bloomfield, Daphne Swisher, and Donna Ross, what was once a neglected jumble of buildings grew into a welcoming downtown community plush with boutiques, delicious restaurants, music-filled bars and community members enjoying the growing number of downtown amenities late in the evenings.  Today, downtown Brentwood is fun, clean, and always bubbling with exciting things to do. 

As the Downtown Brentwood Coalition slowly began to grow the economic footprint of the downtown community, the City of Brentwood began to partner with the business owners to truly begin to build a new downtown footprint.  With the advent of grant programs, close-knit partnerships, and unwavering commitment to the Brentwood community, the downtown community has experienced a wonderful facelift.

Today, as you wander through the streets and visit local stores, eateries and sip local wines, you will see renovated buildings, recently installed shade overhangs, wide sidewalks, and murals highlighting the beautiful streets. Even better, as you traverse through the streets, you will most definitely fall into fabulous conversations with your neighbors. 

 

There is simply no doubt that Brentwood is a growing community that has managed to maintain its small-town feel with deep roots in agriculture and Delta living.  As you enjoy the downtown Brentwood corridor, you will be sure to cross paths with friendly faces who love to enjoy the amenities of Brentwood.
